SUMMARY:

Redmond, Washington is located east of Lake Washington on the north side of Lake Sammamish in the greater Seattle Metropolitan area which is in King County, Washington. Considered part of "the Eastside", it's home to technology giants Microsoft and Nintendo. Many consider its location between the Cascades and the Sound, within easy striking distance of either urban attractions or rural recreation ideal.

Redmond is home to a cute older downtown area, Saturday Farmer's Market which bills itself as the oldest on the Eastside, and plenty of retail including Redmond Town Center, an absolutely gigantic Whole Foods store, Target, etc. While there are lots of bicycling enthusiasts, things are pretty spread out so if you're looking for an urban living experience you'd do better in Seattle proper.

Like many communities in the Seattle area, Redmond has a number of different neighborhoods including: North Redmond, Education Hill, Sammamish Valley, Bear Creek, Downtown, SE Redmond, Viewpoint, Overlake, Grass Lawn, and Willows/Rose Hill.
