LAKE FOREST PARK SUMMARY:

Lake Forest Park , Washington is nestled in the hills on the northern side of Lake Washington in the greater Seattle Metropolitan area in King County, Washington. Larger lot sizes and mature trees can be found in Lake Forest Park, or LFP as you'll sometimes see it abbreviated. Like other neighboring communities, it is convenient for commuters since it has good I-405 & I-5 access. With its location north of Lake Washington, there's easy to access either Seattle or the Eastside. The main commercial area includes Lake Forest Park Towne Center with Third Place Commons, a shopping center and gathering place that's home to Third Place Books (one of my personal favorites) and even a Farmer's Market in the summer. Across the street from the commons is where you can get on the popular and well-used Burke-Gilman Trail.

LAKE FOREST PARK NEIGHBORHOODS:

Lake Forest Park is primarily residential, with only about 20% of the housing being rentals. Not split up into as many neighborhood areas as some of the cities in the area, there are several parks that lend their name to the areas around them. There are some handy LFP maps on the city site showing parks, trails, transit routes, etc.
