Bothell, Washington is located on the eastern side of Lake Washington in the greater Seattle Metropolitan area. Areas of Bothell are in both King County, Washington and Snohomish County, Washington. North of Kirkland, some consider it part of "the Eastside", others might consider it to be more North Shore or North King County. Convenient for commuters with good I-405 & I-5 access, it's also north of Lake Washington which makes it easier to head southwest into Seattle or southeast to Redmond without the impediment of any major bodies of water!
The downtown area has a charming small-town feel, and is slated for some pretty major development/revitalization projects. (See the City of Bothell website for details at http://www.ci.bothell.wa.us/dept/CM/EconDev/EconDev.html for details.) There is an extension program of University of Washington in Bothell, as well as programs associated with Shoreline Community College.
