Appraisals Hindering Home Sales?

Friday, June 26th, 2009

There’s been a lot of squawking going on about appraisals lately. The HVCC, the Home Valuation Code of Conduct which applies to any loans to be sold to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, was devised in response to claims that pressure was inappropriately applied to home appraisers resulting in artificially high appraised values. End of 2010: $179.8 billion (projected)
Unemployment: 8%
Although battered by recession, the Seattle area’s high-tech economy is poised to start growing again. Moody’s estimates the economy will [...]

I’m willing to [...]
