Rion Real EstateCentrally located in the greater Seattle area with LEED Certified office space in Redmond, we also maintain home offices and are connected through technology so we're in striking distance of just about anywhere in the metro area.
One of the reasons we decided to from an independent brokerage, as opposed to joining any of the other companies on the Seattle real estate scene, is that we're not a leviathan of a company. In other words, we're still able to adapt to the market as it changes and work in a way that really works for our clients. When it comes down to it, we work in a service industry and that's what serving is all about.
Licensed since 2000, Alex Rion is the managing broker of Rion Real Estate. With a history in home building and property management, Alex brings helpful perspective and great solutions for problem solving.
Alex has been involved in the housing, building and real estate industry for many years in a variety of capacities. He's been a construction superintendent supervising the construction of hundreds of homes, he's worked on condo projects, a golf course, a marina. He spent several years working as a district manager for a national REIT (real estate investment trust). Of course, he's helped plenty of home buyers and sellers too - that is the focus of his real estate business, though he ends up working on commercial projects and with investors interspersed with residential work.
Many clients have mentioned that they liked the perspective Alex brings from his construction background. One said, "...Alex’s experience in construction furnished us with all sorts of advice about the expense and time it would take to fix up or modify old houses..." Working with big projects has also given Alex great experience negotiating. In the words of a client, "... When it came time to negotiate for a house price, Alex knew exactly how to read the sellers and shift strategies on the fly to get the price we wanted..."
Alex studied political science and history at Eastern Michigan University and holds a Bachelor of Science. He also served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army where he spent a few years, in his words, "...jumping out of perfectly good airplanes"!
